Delhi Assembly Security Breach Masked Man Arrested
A strange security breach at the Delhi Assembly has raised obvious questions because of both the location and the manner of the incident.
Reports say a masked man drove a car through Gate No. 2 of the Assembly complex around 2 pm, entered through the VIP side, left behind a bouquet and fled. Police later arrested the accused, identified as Sarabjit Singh, and also arrested two others.
Multiple police teams and a bomb disposal squad were sent to the site after the breach. The detail about the bouquet made the incident unusual, but the larger concern is whether security personnel and entry systems responded quickly enough.
Public buildings depend on predictable layers of security. When someone can force entry, even briefly, it becomes a test of gate control, vehicle screening, response timing and coordination between police and deployed security forces.
Editors should avoid speculation about motive unless police release a clear statement. The next important update is what investigators say after questioning the accused and reviewing security footage.
