The CUET Photo Mismatch Alert Has Pushed Many Students Into A Last-Minute Verification Drill

The latest CUET UG 2026 advisory from the National Testing Agency has created an urgent but manageable task for affected candidates. Students whose live photographs do not match the available identity records have been given a one-time correction and verification window till April 10. That may sound narrow, but in exam season even a small document issue can feel enormous. The reason this matters is simple. Entrance exams already place students under heavy pressure, and identity mismatches can quickly become a source of panic. By opening a correction path now, the agency is trying to prevent those problems from exploding at the examination-centre stage. The process itself is not casual. Candidates have to upload an attested certificate and a recent photograph, and they have been asked to carry the printed certificate to the exam centre as well. This shows that the agency is trying to preserve verification integrity rather than merely relax the rule. For students and parents, the practical takeaway is not to delay. If the advisory applies to them, this is a deadline story, not a rumour story. In a competitive exam cycle, the safest move is to complete the compliance step early and remove one avoidable source of stress.
